From the title of this blog, one can gather many assumptions about me. Most are true. One thing you cannot deduce from the title and is actually “ironic” or an “oxymoron” is that I do not like the “blogosphere” culture or the social media that is the craze among so many people; however, I do find people’s project ideas, photography, recipes, and reviews informative. I am a traditionalist, an outdoorsman, a carnivore,  a Christian, a black coffee and old-fashioned whiskey drinking man(not in that order) and what in today’s culture seems to be fading the most- a gentleman. This blog is about things I hold dear to my heart: God, Family, Friends, and everything else. I will review outdoor gear & equipment, different whiskeys, coffees and techniques for brewing, woodworking projects, photos of rock climbing, hiking, camping and techniques. Manly recipes and a section I call 5 under 5 ($5 meals under 5 minutes), domestic and world travel, photography, and whatever else comes to mind.  Currently, I am finishing my basic science portion of medical school in Sint Maarten in the Caribbean, and about to start my clinical rotations back in the United States.
